One of the most influential and iconic concept albums in modern metal history, “Operation: Mindcrime,” will be performed live for the final time with its original voice. Legendary progressive metal vocalist Geoff Tate, the defining singer of Queensrÿche’s classic era, brings his farewell tour to Ljubljana on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, taking the stage at the city’s renowned rock venue Orto Bar.

Joining Geoff Tate as the main act of the evening will be German power metal heavyweights Masterplan, making this a night that unites two pillars of progressive and melodic metal on one stage.

A Legendary Farewell: Operation: Mindcrime Performed Live for the Final Time

Originally released in 1988, “Operation: Mindcrime” redefined storytelling in metal with its dark political themes, conceptual depth, and cinematic structure. On the “The Final Chapter” tour, Geoff Tate performs the album in its entirety, bringing its full narrative and emotional intensity to the stage one last time.

In addition to the complete album performance, the setlist will also feature classic hit songs from Queensrÿche’s legendary era, offering fans a powerful blend of a full concept album experience and timeless metal anthems.

This concert represents far more than a live show — it is an emotional and historic farewell to one of progressive metal’s most important works.

Masterplan: Metalmorphosis Tour 2026

One of the main acts of the night, Masterplan, will perform as part of their Metalmorphosis Tour 2026. Led by former Helloween guitarist Roland Grapow, the band was founded in 2002 by Grapow and ex-Helloween drummer Uli Kusch, quickly establishing itself as one of the strongest forces in modern melodic metal.Following the release of their new studio album “Metalmorphosis” in January 2026, Masterplan return to European stages with a powerful live show. As on previous tours, the band will also include one or two classic Helloween songs from Roland Grapow’s era in their setlist, paying tribute to heavy metal history.
